Ode to Absurdity

There lived a small boy

Who bathed in hot tea

 

He loved it so much It made him go pee

He lived there forever In this tub of yellow

 

From his chin to his toes

Right up to his elbow

 

Green tea and pekoe

Were both felt and seen

 

He'd eat and he'd sleep

And study between

 

The layers of tea

And the layers of pee

 

Till one day came when

He needed a change

 

He stood up, wondered

And felt very strange

 

He fell on the ground

As if in a dream

 

The ground was all brown

Like chocolate ice cream

 

It showed him a new life

A possibility

 

One with a new tub

Of fresh roast coffee!
