Ode to Absurdity

There lived a small boy

Who bathed in hot tea

He loved it so much It made him go pee

He lived there forever In this tub of yellow

From his chin to his toes

Right up to his elbow

Green tea and pekoe

Were both felt and seen

He'd eat and he'd sleep

And study between

The layers of tea

And the layers of pee

Till one day came when

He needed a change

He stood up, wondered

And felt very strange

He fell on the ground

As if in a dream

The ground was all brown

Like chocolate ice cream

It showed him a new life

A possibility

One with a new tub

Of fresh roast coffee!
